A book is like subtitles to a movie.
To truly read a book, one must hold either experience (memory) or the desire for it (imagination). Letters, when glanced at without intent, are merely lines drawn here and there. But for the meaning woven between those lines to come alive, a connection must first form between the text and the reader. That bridge is the inner screen of oneโs mind โ where scenes are projected that only the self can fully perceive: memory and imagination.
In its traditional form, a book exists as text flowing in one direction. But an e-book is different. The word 'electron' refers to a tiny entity that emits an electric force โ even a subtle fluctuation in it spreads at the speed of light. Through this nature, a reader can leap from the first page to the last in an instant, and weave in media from other dimensions such as sound and motion. These layers deepen and enrich the act of reading.
An e-book is not merely a book made easy to copy or distribute. It is something far greater โ a living medium of light and language. This blog is a record of my journey to explore what that means.
